Marrakech: Getting There

Airport Marrakech’s Menara Airport (RAK) lies about 4 miles southwest of the city. There’s a bus into the city from the airport, but your best bet is taking a taxi.

Airlines There are no direct flights from the U.S. to Marrakech, but easy connections can be made through Casablanca, London, Paris, Geneva and other major European cities. Royal Air Morocco dominates at Menara, with several flights daily to Casablanca and Paris (CDG).

Flight Times Flights from Casablanca to Marrakech take 40 minutes. It’s roughly 3.5 hours from London and Paris. From New York, count on at least 10 hours, including one layover, to Marrakech. Expect at least 18 hours and two layovers from Los Angeles.
